Don't want a little dog but don't want a big dog either? Moyen poodles might be just what you are looking for! Their "medium" size (15-20" to the shoulder) makes them very versitile -  large enough to swim, hike, or run  but small enough to travel comfortably in the car and cuddle on your lap. They are excellent with children and very tolerant of other pets.  Many people compete in AKC performance sports like agility, dock-diving, and scent work.   In essence, moyens posses all the wonderful qualities of a standard poodle in a slightly smaller package. All poodles are extremely intelligent, friendly, and family-oriented.

Aren't moyens the same as standard poodles? Technically yes, the US places moyens under the umbrella of the standard size category whereas, FCI registries around the world give moyens their own size category.
